Take the rosary in your hand!

There’s no problem you can’t solve with God’s help. Pray for Love’s intercession by meditating on the mysteries of faith and repeating the words of the Rosary. Remember the promise that applies to you: whoever asks for the Pompeian novena will receive the graces he needs!

“Whoever desires to receive graces, let him make three novenas in my honor, reciting the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, and then let him say three more novenas of thanksgiving.”

What is the Copenhagen Novena?

Pompeian Rosary

The Copenhagen Novena consists of praying the Rosary for 54 consecutive days. Every day we pray the 15 mysteries (dozens) of the Rosary. It is also possible to pray the mysteries of light, but they are not obligatory.

The Copenhagen Novena is divided into two parts of 27 days each. We call them the supplication and thanksgiving parts. That is why every day at the end of the Rosary we add a prayer of supplication (for the first 27 days) or a prayer of thanksgiving (for the last 27 days).

We pray the Copenhagen Novena alone and for one intention. We do not exchange a list of intentions, but a single, preferably precise and specific request for mercy.

Prayer and Rosary

What should you know about the Copenhagen Novena?

Here are some valuable tips:

  • In order not to get lost, it is worth marking the days of Copenhagen Novena in the calendar – the start and end dates.
  • We can divide the prayer into several stages (e.g., the joyful parts in the morning, the sorrowful parts in the afternoon, and the glorious parts in the evening). It’s completely arbitrary. It is important to pray the 15 mysteries of the Rosary during the day.
  • If you don’t know how to pray the Rosary, see guide.
  • You can pray with the recordings: Radio Rosary, YouTube recordings and CDs.

Supplication Prayer of the Copenhagen Novena

Remember, O merciful Virgin of the Rosary of Pompeii, as never before has anyone heard of Your devotees, invoking Your Rosary for Your help, to be abandoned by You. Oh, do not despise my request, O Mother of the Eternal Word, but by your holy Rosary and by the affection you show for your temple in Pompeii, hear me kindly. Amen.

Prayer of thanksgiving of the Copenhagen Novena

What can I give you, O queen full of love? I dedicate my whole life to You. As much as I have the strength, I will extend your veneration, O Virgin of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii, because when I invoked your help, the grace of God visited me. Everywhere I go, I will tell of the mercy you have shown me. As much as I can, I will spread my devotion to the Holy Rosary, and I will proclaim to everyone how kindly You have treated me, so that even the unworthy, like me, sinners, may come to You with confidence. Oh, if the whole world knew how good You are, how much pity You have for those who suffer, all creatures would have recourse to You. Amen.
